Spring Cleaning Our Body – “Detoxing”

Spring time is a great time for “spring-cleaning”. Cleansing and detoxification of the body is essential. It is a natural process of eliminating toxins from the body right to cellular level. Naturally our body has seven channels of elimination – liver, lungs, kidneys, colon, lymphatics, blood and skin. Our body tries to eliminate all toxins through these channels, but with all the chemicals that bombard us (processed foods, drinks, air pollution, chemicals in water, medications, animal-based diet, plastics) daily we need to help the detoxification process.

Some signs that we need to detox are: food allergies and sensitivities; reoccurring sinus issues, headaches, allergies, respiratory problems; insomnia; lack of energy; moodiness; constipation and joint pain. These are warning signs that may lead to bigger issues.

One of the best ways to detoxify the body is with herbal cleansing programs. These are simple and effective programs that range from a few days to a month.
